Ludibrium Party Quest

Introduction to LPQ

The Ludibrium Party Quest (LPQ), officially called "Dimensional Crack," is one of the most complex and rewarding party quests in MapleStory Classic World. It's significantly more challenging than KPQ and requires better coordination, specific class skills, and patience.

LPQ is infamous for its difficulty but beloved for its excellent EXP rewards and the sense of accomplishment when you finally complete it with a skilled party.

๐Ÿ“‹ Basic Requirements

Entry Requirements

  • โœ… Level Range: 35-50
  • โœ… Party Size: Exactly 6 members
  • โœ… Time Limit: More generous than KPQ
  • โœ… Location: Eos Tower Floor 101

Required Skills

  • ๐Ÿ”ฎ Mage with Teleport (mandatory!)
  • ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Thief with Dark Sight
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Assassin/Bowman with maxed Eye of Amazon/Keen Eyes
  • โš ๏ธ Without these skills, you CANNOT complete LPQ!

๐Ÿšช How to Enter

  1. 1.
Form a party of exactly 6 players level 35-50 with the required skills
  2. 2.
Travel to Ludibrium via the Orbisโ†’Ludibrium ship or Eos Tower
  3. 3.
Navigate to Eos Tower Floor 101
  4. 4.
Talk to Lita Lawliet to enter the Dimensional Crack
  5. 5.
All members enter through the portal - make sure everyone is ready!

Critical Warning: If your party doesn't have Teleport, Dark Sight, and Keen Eyes/Eye of Amazon, DO NOT enter. You will waste everyone's time and cannot complete the quest!

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Stage-by-Stage Walkthrough

Stage 1: Pass Collection

Hunt monsters and collect Pass of Dimension. Simple but necessary warmup.

How it Works:

  • โ€ข Kill Ratz and Dirty Ratz in the room
  • โ€ข Collect Pass of Dimension drops
  • โ€ข Give all passes to the party leader
  • โ€ข Leader talks to NPC to proceed

Stage 2: Box Breaking

Break boxes to find specific items while avoiding wrong boxes.

Strategy:

  • โ€ข Each member is assigned to find a specific item
  • โ€ข Break boxes until you find YOUR item
  • โ€ข Wrong boxes spawn monsters - be careful!
  • โ€ข Once everyone has their item, proceed

Pro Tip: AOE classes should help clear spawned monsters. Don't let the room get overrun!

Stage 3: Blocktopus (Most Difficult!)

This is where parties fail. You need to defeat Blocktopuses to get keys, but they're behind barriers.

Why You Need Teleport:

  • โ€ข Blocktopuses are behind wooden barriers
  • โ€ข Only Teleport can pass through barriers
  • โ€ข Mage must teleport through and kill Blocktopuses
  • โ€ข Each Blocktopus drops a key when defeated
  • โ€ข You need all keys to proceed

Critical: If your mage doesn't have Teleport skilled up, you cannot pass this stage. Period.

Stage 4: Dark Room

Navigate a pitch-black room to find portals. This is where Dark Sight becomes essential.

How Dark Sight Helps:

  • โ€ข The room is completely dark - you can't see anything
  • โ€ข Dark Sight reveals hidden portals!
  • โ€ข Thief uses Dark Sight and guides the party
  • โ€ข Find the correct portal to proceed
  • โ€ข Wrong portals send you back to the start

Alternative: Some parties memorize the portal locations, but Dark Sight makes this trivial.

Stage 5: Portal Boxes

Break boxes to find the portal to the next stage. Some boxes spawn monsters!

  • โ€ข Break boxes systematically
  • โ€ข One box contains the portal
  • โ€ข Wrong boxes spawn Ratz - kill them quickly
  • โ€ข Once portal is found, everyone enters

Stage 6: Mathematics

Solve a simple math equation by standing on numbered platforms.

How to Solve:

  • โ€ข NPC gives you an equation (e.g., "3 + 4 = ?")
  • โ€ข Platforms are numbered 0-9
  • โ€ข Party members stand on platforms to form the answer
  • โ€ข For "3+4=7", stand on platform 7
  • โ€ข For two-digit answers, two members stand on different numbers

Example: "12 - 7 = ?" Answer is 5, so one person stands on platform 5.

Stage 7: Teddy Bear Hunt

Find and kill the "Master Teddy" among many identical teddy bears.

Why You Need Keen Eyes:

  • โ€ข Room is filled with identical teddy bears
  • โ€ข Keen Eyes/Eye of Amazon reveals the Master Teddy
  • โ€ข Master Teddy appears with a crown icon when skill is active
  • โ€ข Kill only the Master Teddy to proceed
  • โ€ข Killing wrong teddies wastes time

Note: Keen Eyes must be MAXED for this to work reliably. Level 1-2 Keen Eyes won't cut it!

Stage 8: Boss Fight (Alishar)

The final challenge! Defeat Alishar, one of the toughest pre-Big Bang bosses at this level.

Boss Mechanics:

  • โ€ข HP: Very high (~100,000)
  • โ€ข Damage: Can one-shot lower levels
  • โ€ข Special Attacks: Summons monsters, AOE attacks
  • โ€ข Recommended: Cleric/Priest for healing!

Strategy:

  • โ€ข Cleric heals the tank continuously
  • โ€ข Ranged DPS stay safe and focus Alishar
  • โ€ข Kill summoned mobs quickly - they can overwhelm you
  • โ€ข Bring LOTS of potions - this fight is long!
  • โ€ข Stay patient - rushing leads to wipes

Pro Tip: A Cleric with Heal makes this fight 10x easier. Highly recommended!

๐ŸŽ Bonus Stage

After defeating Alishar, you'll get access to a bonus stage with excellent loot!

  • โ€ข Limited time to collect items
  • โ€ข High-level equipment drops
  • โ€ข Scrolls and valuable items
  • โ€ข Grab everything you can!

๐Ÿ† Rewards & EXP

Experience Points

  • โœจ Per Run: ~15,000-25,000 EXP
  • โœจ Time per Run: 15-30 minutes
  • โœจ EXP/Hour: Best in the level range!
  • โœจ Bonus Stage: Additional EXP and loot

Item Rewards

  • ๐ŸŽ Level 35-50 equipment
  • ๐ŸŽ Better scrolls than KPQ
  • ๐ŸŽ Rare drops from Alishar
  • ๐ŸŽ Significant meso rewards
  • ๐ŸŽ Bonus Stage treasures

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tips & Tricks

๐Ÿ”ฅ Party Composition

Ideal party: Mage (Teleport), Thief (Dark Sight), Assassin/Bowman (Keen Eyes), Cleric (Heal), + 2 DPS. This covers all required skills plus healing.

โšก Skill Verification

BEFORE entering, have your mage, thief, and archer/assassin confirm they have the required skills! This saves everyone from wasted time.

๐ŸŽฏ Learning Curve

LPQ is complex. Your first few runs will be slow. Stick with the same party and you'll get faster with practice!

๐Ÿ’ฌ Communication Critical

LPQ requires MORE communication than KPQ. Voice chat makes this significantly easier if your party uses Discord/etc.

๐Ÿ’Š Stock Up on Potions

Especially for Alishar! Bring at minimum 100 HP potions and 50 MP potions if you're a magic class.

โš ๏ธ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • โŒ Entering without required skills
You WILL fail Stage 3, 4, or 7. Check skills before entering!
  • โŒ Rushing through stages
LPQ punishes impatience. Take your time and coordinate properly.
  • โŒ Not bringing enough potions for Alishar
Boss fight can take 10+ minutes. You'll run out mid-fight if unprepared.
  • โŒ Attacking wrong enemies in Stage 7
Use Keen Eyes and ONLY kill the Master Teddy!
  • โŒ Poor positioning in boss fight
Ranged stay far, melee dodge AOEs. Getting one-shot wastes everyone's time.

๐Ÿ†š KPQ vs LPQ Comparison

KPQ (21-30)

  • โœ… Simple and straightforward
  • โœ… No required skills
  • โœ… 5-10 minute runs
  • โœ… Good for beginners
  • โš ๏ธ Lower EXP per run

LPQ (35-50)

  • โš ๏ธ Complex and challenging
  • โš ๏ธ Requires specific skills
  • โš ๏ธ 15-30 minute runs
  • โœ… Higher skill ceiling
  • โœ… MUCH better EXP and loot
